Be mindful that conditions such as unconsciousness, difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, head injury, and chest pain or pressure are indicative of situations that necessitate immediate attention and a prompt call to 911. Your swift and accurate assessment will contribute to a timely and appropriate response.

Complete this form for any incident involving students, staff, or visitors on campus or during school-related activities. It should be filled out by the OUSD employee with the most direct knowledge of the event
Complete this form if the incident involves a student with an IEP who (1) had a behavior emergency and (2) was isolated, restrained, or required extensive supervision.
Remember, all OUSD staff are Mandated Reporters. If you suspect child abuse or neglect, you are legally required to call CPS (Child Protective Services) immediately and complete a written report within 36 hours. When in doubt, report.

The Oakland Public Education Fund is a nonprofit focused on enhancing community resources for Oakland public schools, ensuring all students can learn and thrive. They partner with OUSD to connect volunteers with every public school in Oakland. Aditionally, we receive volunteers from CalFresh, who come directly into our classrooms to provide valuable services to families and students.

Sign up for a free Scholastic teacher account, share the order code with families, collect and approve orders, then distribute the books to students.
