Building relationships is important to enhance your education, to learn about internships and other development opportunities, to ask for future recommendations, and to build your community.
Your financial aid package may require you to get books from the college bookstore. If not, explore these tips for getting books:
• Buy used books if you can. For your textbooks, make sure to look up the title, author, edition and whatever information you have of the textbook on google to see if you can find a free and LEGAL pdf or download. If you can’t find a textbook online for free, you can look in the following places for new and used books and rentals:

• Interlibrary loan. Request items that are found in another library. Your college librarian can help you to make the request. Some students are able to use interlibrary loan to get textbooks instead of paying for them. Be sure to check due dates so you don't get a big fine.
