The United Nations convention on the Rights of the child states in article 12- "children have the right to express the views they have and those views should be listened to in anything that affects them". At St Martin's this right is met through our Pupil Council. This allows pupils the opportunities to:
St Martin's Primary Pupil Council has representatives from primaries 1 to 7 and work collaboratively together to make decisions about their school and playground. This role helps to teach the children the importance of using their voice and how to become Responsible Citizens and Effective Contributors with regards to issues they feel passionately about.
