Take a look at our Forest Schools Family Sessions, where families come together helping children develop skills for learning, such as collaborating, team building, problem solving through outdoor adventures in Forest Schools—see some of our families in action!
Check out our Family Cooking Club, where families come together to: understand nutrition, learn about cost effective meal planning; cook with a Community Chef, finding and selecting new recipes and enjoying delicious meals together!
The gardening club began on 3 October, and we would like to thank the parent helpers who joined us in supporting the children. We are excited to be working the school gardens and watching them flourish. We look forward to a great harvest of vegetables.
Transition is considered to be an adjustment over time to new contexts outside the family, where children experience changes to their social environment, to their routines, to what is expected of them and to the relationships they have with others in new situations.
Through transition, it is our aspiration to promote a sense of belonging in St Mary's by providing your child with their entitlement to continuity of learning in a caring and respectful environment which reflects our vision and values.
Our children transition in to St Mary's from a number of local authority and partnership Early Learning and Childcare Centres.
Almost all of our Primary 7 pupils transition to the local secondary school - St Peter the Apostle High School.
