SCIAF
During Lent we chose to support SCIAF who do lots of work around the world to make sure people experience their right to food, clean water, medical care and shelter. Each class had one of their own WEE Boxes and even though we were only in school for part of Lent, we managed to raise £100. The Global Group then studied the SCIAF Real Gifts and chose to buy: a vegetable garden, an emergency water supply, an Eco stove, chickens and soap. P4a celebrated their class assembly during Lent and chose this as their theme. As part of this they organised a mini enterprise event, making and selling Easter crafts to their families after the assembly. This helped raise £170 for SCIAF. P4 chose to buy: a family care pack, a family shelter, emergency water and a vegetable garden.
In September 2024 we organised a whole school and community Fairtrade Coffee Morning. This helped us raise over £400.00 for Fairtrade, £500.00 for our local SVDP and £400.00 for SCIAF. We are delighted to have enabled so many people to enjoy their right to food, shelter, clean water, medical care, education and a decent standard of living.

FOODSHARE
During Advent we organised a collection for WDC community Foodshare. Each class was allocated specific items that Foodshare know people need. We filled many bags and boxes, to the delight of all at WDC community foodshare. We were very happy to think of others as we prepared for Christmas, enabling those less fortunate than ourselves to experience their right to nutritious food and enjoy a happy Christmas.
