At St Mary's Primary School, we believe that extra-curricular activities are important and enhance children’s experience of school life. We provide a wide range of after school clubs.
Our children and their families speak very positively about our clubs, with benefits including increased confidence, improved fitness, teamwork, learning new skills and receiving support.
If you sign your child up to attend an after-school club, it is important that they take part each week. If, for any reason, they are unable to attend, please contact the school to let us know—this is essential for health and safety. Children should bring the appropriate clothing, footwear, water and any items needed for their chosen activity.
Below is a summary of the clubs we offer:
Individual Cross Country Event with Mr Galloway
For P5, P6 and P7 pupils
Monday for 3 sessions, 3:00–4:15pm
(Monday 8 September, 15 September, 22 September 2025)
We’re excited to offer a fun and active 3-week Cross Country Club for our Primary 5, 6, and 7 pupils! Led by Mr Galloway, parent helpers and Mrs Shipcott, this club is a fantastic opportunity for children to build stamina, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors. With a focus on perseverance, fitness, and personal achievement, pupils will boost their confidence while developing a love for running.
The club will take place either in the school grounds, the Fore Park or Goldenhill Park.
A drink and a small snack
A t-shirt and shorts or joggers to change into before the session
Suitable footwear
Jacket (as sessions will be outdoors)
