Our Promoting Positive Behaviour Policy

All children at Edinbarnet are part of our whole school behaviour and communication system. We believe that every behaviour is a form of communication.

Our Vision:

Edinbarnet Primary School is a school where everyone works together as a community to create an ethos where all the children are nurtured, respected, included, inspired and motivated in reaching their full potential, not only academically, but as individuals. We are an inclusive learning community, where individuality is accepted and celebrated. We strive to empower our children to be the best that they can be, equipping them with the skills to actively grasp and follow their dreams.

Our Rationale:

The rationale of our behaviour policy is that good behaviour should be recognised and rewarded and that negative behaviours be discouraged and changed for the better, through the fair and systematic application of our behaviour policy. We believe that positive behaviour is an essential condition for effective learning and teaching.

The children are split into 4 houses when they start school:

Faifley Fortress

Titan Towers

Cochno Castle

Auchnacraig Abbey

The whole school works as individuals and as groups to earn points and receive awards for their positive behaviours.
