- Pet(s): Fillmore, an eight-year-old Cock-a-poo; and a few dust bunnies around the house.
- Favorite clothing: jeans and a comfy sweater.
- Recent, favorite books: The Night Portrait, and The Stolen Lady both by Laura Morelli; and
The Secret Life of Sunflowers, and Girl Braiding Her Hair, both by Marta Molnar.- Favorite line from a movie: “A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.” – Wizard of Oz
- Favorite (and BEST) state in the Union: Iowa, where I was born and grew up.
- Things I love: my family, being creative, going to art museums, my new Ebike, and a great cup of coffee.
- Cherished childhood memory: spending time with my grandma as she baked and decorated wedding cakes.
- My favorite artists: Wassily Kandinsky, Andy Warhol (we share the same birthday!), and Françoise Gilot.
- Best friend from childhood: Shelley Crail Scuffham, who was also a college roommate, my matron of honor, and still my friend today.
- Favorite singers or groups: Five for Fighting, James Taylor, Old Dominion, Rend Collection
- A most unusual thing about my home: we set up Christmas trees in every room on the main floor of our house.
- The car I drive: Chevy Equinox. In college I had a white Ford Pinto, similar to the one in the 1983 movie Cujo.
- Things I collect: antique watercolor tins, pottery and original art work.
- My hero: my mom – as she lost her battle with Alzheimer's Dementia, February 2020.
