eStream

The School's video streaming and photo storage service

Introduction

eStream is a video streaming service, and also stores all the School's photos. Here you can find educational videos and photos along with some TV programs and films.

Accessing the Website

The website can be easily accessed by going to the Oundle School Portal and clicking the circled eStream icon at the top of the page.

Alternatively, you can type in or click on the embedded link:

https://estream.oundleschool.org.uk

For easier access in the future you can add the link to your bookmarks so that it stays as a bookmark at the top of your browser every time you open it.

Please Note: If the link asks you to login with your Microsoft Account details, use your school login information.

Click on the star at the top right of the browser, name your bookmark and click done. Open a new tab and you will see your bookmark at the top of the page.

The Home Page

When you access the home page for the first time you will have an option to take or skip the search tutorial. If you are new to eStream and have never used it before it is a good place to start. It will take you through the basic search options and allow you to use the service easily.

If you don't care, press "no" and carry on.

If it really bothers you, press "Do not show again"

You can find the most popular and the newest added content on the home page.

Next to the search bar, more options are present.

Subjects


The subjects page is a useful as you can quickly access subject specific content. There is a wide range of subjects available.

The search can be made more specific by using the filters. You can do this by clicking the "show filters" icon, that will extend into a large list of options.

This tool allows to find a video or a set of videos by narrowing down the categories (Eg: time in which they have been added, the person who added, duration and other filters.

Under this section you can find live broadcasts.

Create

This is where you can upload videos or audio files. It allows you to upload videos onto eStream for editing.

After the video has been selected, it can be rated and a description can be added.

When the file has been selected, press the first two of the buttons above the file to begin uploading it.

  • More files can be added by pressing the second button.
  • The submitted file can be edited again by pressing the pen.
  • It can be deleted by pressing the trash can. if still uploading, the upload can be canceled.

If you choose the other option of creating a play list, you will be able to choose it's name, privacy and add a description.

Further Help

By choosing "Tools" you will get the option of "Help" where you are able to search for more details on the functions of eStream.

There is a new existing option to learn about eStream's functions. When loading the home page for the first time you will be presented with this notice and a link. The link will take you to eStream's own library of video tutorials.
