Bee Hives

In 2020 we got the opportunity to work alongside Ray, a local apiarist, who has installed two of his hives on our school property. We have placed the hives in the wilderness area at the end of our playing field. During the honey season (Spring and Summer), Ray comes out each week and teaches our bee group how to check the welfare of these busy critters, check their food supplies, and investigate each of the frames in the hives. Harvesting time is super exciting! Needless to say, the finished product is delicious :)
