Greetings Parents/Guardians,
It is hard to believe that this is the final week of Oswego KidsTech, but there is still lots of fun and exciting learning to happen this week. We look forward to seeing everyone participating in Campus KidsTech from 6pm - 7:30pm this Wednesday. Please note this announcement is also posted on our announcements page.
Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend the tour with Professor Bush of the Technology Department’s laboratories last week. We have great learning spaces and resources for our two technology majors: Technology Education and Technology Management.
Congratulatory Social
This week we have another special event. A celebratory social that includes cake and a welcome from our Dean: Dr. Laura Spenceley. The social will take place directly after the lessons conclude in the College of Education, Health and Human Services Maraviglia Atrium, so please join us to celebrate all the learning of the next generation of innovators and STEM professionals, as well as their future Technology Teachers (our current KidsTech teachers)!
NationalGrid
We are also expecting representatives from NationalGrid to visit and attend the social, so please let them know, as we certainly do, that their support is appreciated, which greatly improves the quality and resources we have for our KidsTech programs: STEM4Kids and Young Inventors.
Items to Take Home
Thanks to the National Grid funding, for which we are very grateful, each KidsTech student will bring home the activity and learning materials to continue to learn together with. We hope to spark your child’s interest to continue learning STEM concepts and skills.
As a reminder, all items brought home need adult supervision.
A couple of surprise KidsTech promotional items will be sent home as well.
A lot of learning has happened this semester, and to show our appreciation to both children and parents, you will also receive:
Two copies of your team/classroom group photo (please give the extra one to a friend or relative)
With an announcement next week, we will be providing a resources page for the learning materials being sent home with your child.
Feedback Survey
We have a short survey to get some feedback from you on how KidsTech went for you and your child this semester.
We also made up this hopefully easy to remember shortened web address to the survey: https://tinyurl.com/kidstech-survey
You can take the survey via a phone/tablet/laptop.
Please fill out the survey during this week’s session or prior to it.

Greetings Parents/Guardians,
We had some exciting sessions of STEM 4 Kids and Young Inventors the first two weeks and can’t wait for the learning to continue this week! This week’s session will be this Wednesday from 6pm - 7:30pm.
In the meeting with parents and guardians last week I learned that some of you are having trouble reading the emails, which are sent via a oswego.edu Gmail account. If you have Gmail, try forwarding the messages to that for better formatting. Also, I will be copying all announcements going forward to: https://sites.google.com/oswego.edu/kidstech/announcements , which should be mobile friendly.
Week 3 Classroom Photos: Week 3 is classroom photos with teachers, so please arrive a few minutes early.
Another Special Event for Parents/Guardians: Department Laboratory Tour
Our department chair, Professor Richard Bush, will be giving a tour of the many technical labs and classrooms used by our students.
We would like all parents/guardians to go on the tour so you can be aware of what our department has to offer college students.
The tour will start at around 6:15pm (directly following the above presentation) from the lobby between Park and Wilber halls (please go to Park 102/103 if you don’t know where this is).
The tour takes approximately 30 minutes.
