Mrs. Ericson's Class

Welcome!

Hello! My name is Miranda Ericson, and I am the kindergarten teacher at Jeffrey Elementary in Osceola, Nebraska. This site can be used to learn more about me, and if your child is in my class, I will occasionally post some resources for home learning opportunities and information about what we are doing in class! I cannot wait to meet my students this year!

Kindergarten Standards

The Nebraska Department of Education lists the standards for each grade level for every subject. Click the logo and scroll down to view the documents for each subject. Kindergarten standards are at the top of each document!

School Supply List

Notice that the items listed first are items that are "yours". These supplies will need to have your child's name on them so we don't get them mixed up with other supplies. The second list has items that will be part of a "class stash", so everybody will share those items.

In addition to the list, your child will also need to bring a water bottle to school EVERY DAY! It will not be kept at school.

Open House

Please come to Open House on August 15th any time from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. If you would like to bring some of your school supplies/extra clothes/rest mat that night so the first day isn't as hectic, feel free! Our classroom is down the hall closest to the Daycare and the New Gym. Hope to see you there!

Starting School Info

Click on the school bus image to read about some information that you may need to know about starting school! A lot of this information will be given to you at open house, as well.

Back to School Letter

Watch for a back to school letter in the mail from me! One letter is for your student, and one is for you (parents)! Please read the letter to your child, and if you have time, help your child to use the addressed and stamped envelope to mail me a photo/drawing/letter of something that he/she did this summer! If you do not receive a letter, that means I do not have your address. I have the back to school letters here below if you want to take a look!Â
