My Family...
My husband Jeff and I live in Geneseo, and we have 2 daughters, Elli and Maggi; a son, AJ and a granddog named Vinny.
We are a very busy family and my favorite thing in the world (besides teaching) is being a mom! :) We all love the outdoors; we like to hunt and fish and are avid fans of the St. Louis Cardinals. We love to go on family vacations to the beach as well as to the lake in Ely, MN.
My name is Natalie Weller and this is my 28th and final year of teaching at Orion Middle School (my 34th year overall). I am so excited to be your child's PE and Health teacher. I look forward to watching your children grow in confidence as they learn, change and experience success. Unlike other teachers, in PE we get students for all 3 years. It is extremely rewarding to witness the transformation of a nervous new 6th grader adapting to all of the change that comes with middle school years to a confident mature 8th grade leader preparing to launch into high school.
I grew up in Bismarck, IL (a small town about the size of Orion) and attended Bismarck-Henning High School. I am the oldest child in my family, and I have a brother and a sister. I played volleyball, basketball and ran track in high school and then went on to play volleyball in college. I graduated from Illinois College (in Jacksonville, IL) where I majored in Physical Education and minored in English. I earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. I truly enjoyed my 12 years of coaching varsity volleyball, 7th grade volleyball, and club volleyball. Now I enjoy walking, hiking, playing pickleball, watching my son play college baseball, cooking, traveling and shopping with friends and my two adult daughters.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. I am here to help your child in any way I can and open communication from you is essential.
