Ultrafast laser systems are used to create clean shapes and cuts. We use femtosecond lasers to create vias in material, cut glass and generate novel shapes 

We use ultrafast laser systems to modify refractive indices of materials. We create type 2 gratings to create novel sensors such as LPG , FPG and are investigating the refractive index modification in  glass and Mid IR material
