What if I can't make it to in-person STEAM Camp? Join us for an online STEAM Camp from July 15-19th, 2024!
Virtual STEAM Camp will include five different STEAM trainings in the evenings starting at 6pm PST with live Spanish interpretation.
Each training is stand-alone, meaning you choose which ones you would like to register for! You will receive ORO credit for the trainings you register for and attend.

Monday July 15th: The Wondering Years: Building Curiosity in Early Childhood
Description: What do you say when children ask WHY? Join us as we explore curiosity and ways to foster a sense of wonder in young children through activities, conversation, and more.

Tuesday, July 16th: Technology and Nature (6-9PM PST)
Description: Opening the door and exploring the outdoors is a fantastic tool to promote children’s development. We will explore approaches, strategies, and tools to promote development and learning in nature.

Wednesday, July 17th: Dollar Store Engineering in the Early Childhood Classroom
Description: Creating fun and developmentally appropriate science and engineering activities in early childhood shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Join an interactive session where we will use items bought at the Dollar Store to create fun and appropriate activities for young children in your learning environment.

Thursday, July 18th: Natural STEAM: Using Art to Teach Preschool Science and Math
Description: Participants will review nature art media and processes from collage to print-making and connect nature arts to STEM exploration and experimentation. They will participate in several interactive discussions and individual art processes, brainstorm ideas for children in their own settings, and gain a framework for creating their own natural STEAM lessons and provocations.

Friday, July 19th: Developing Math Centers and Related Activities for Young Children
Description: Explore ways children in a developmentally appropriate classroom have numerous opportunities to learn mathematical skills and concepts as they play with materials. We will explore how to design effective math centers and multiple ways that teachers facilitate learning in the math center will be examined.
