Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages
CSCTFL assumes a proactive, leadership role within the world language profession, provide services to all foreign language educators, including those of modern, ancient, and less-commonly-taught languages and English as a Second Language, and promotes the study of languages across the Pre-K, elementary, secondary, post-secondary, and graduate spectrum.

Deutscher Sprach- und Schulverein (DSSV)
The Deutscher Sprach- und Schulverein (DSSV) or German Language and School Society of Wisconsin, Inc. was founded in Milwaukee on June 9, 1956. The Society’s primary goal is “to promote and stimulate interest in and understanding of the German language and culture, by means of an annual German Essay contest.”
German Academic Exchange Service
DAAD is a private, federally funded and state-funded, self-governing national agency of the institutions of higher education in Germany, representing 365 German higher education institutions awarding competitive, merit-based grants for use toward study and/or research in Germany at any of the accredited German institutions of higher education. It also awards grants to German students, doctoral students, and scholars for studies and research abroad. DAAD is the largest academic grant organisation worldwide.
German American Partnership Program
Since 1972 the German American Partnership Program (GAPP) facilitates enriching cultural exchanges between schools in the U.S. and Germany. Our Program inspires intercultural understanding, promotes German language instruction, and fosters new and lasting friendships in the U.S. and Germany.

The German Embassy is the official representation of the Federal Government of Germany in the United States. The Consulate General Chicago's area of jurisdiction consists of the states Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Goethe House Wisconsin
Goethe House Wisconsin is a Non-Profit German-American Cultural Institute serving Wisconsin since 1958. Their mission is to serve as a resource for information about the past and present culture of all German-speaking people. Through cultural and educational programs Goethe House seeks to provide people of all ages with a greater awareness of evolving Germanic societies and in so doing promote strong relations, friendship and understanding.
Goethe-Institut Chicago
Together with its partners in the Midwest, the Goethe-Institut Chicago encourages cultural dialogue between Germany and the US with its multitude of diverse events. They offer language courses and exams on all proficiency levels in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and they offer extensive services for German teachers. They facilitate information and artistic expressions of current aspects of the cultural, social and political life in Germany. Their reading room offers a wide selection of books and other media – accessible to anyone interested in Germany.
Swiss Benevolent Society of Chicago
The Society was founded in 1872, shortly after the destructive Great Chicago Fire, and was designed at first to help members of the Swiss Community of Chicago weather the hardships inflicted upon them by the fire.
