President (2024-2026)

Guten Tag und Herzlich Willkommen WI-AATG Members, prospective members, and curious visitors,

I am honored to have served on the executive board as vice-president and to now have been selected as your WI-AATG president. It has enhanced my career in so many ways and connected me with so many excellent and dedicated educators. For those who don't know me, I teach at Cedarburg High School. Before teaching high school, I taught at UW-Milwaukee and at the University of Illinois at Chicago as both a graduate instructor and a lecturer. When I made the switch to teaching high school, I wanted to find a way to connect with others in the Wisconsin German teacher community. I attended the business meeting at WAFLT and heard about the Immersion Weekend in New Glarus and it opened my world to new opportunities, colleagues, and friends. WI-AATG is a high-quality organization made up of individuals who are all motivated to make positive influences teaching German in Wisconsin.

Members of WI-AATG organize and support professional development by presenting at our area conferences, working together with Northern Illinois AATG organizing the Immersion Weekend, and numerous other adventures.
