Check out our chapter awards for the 2021-2022 school year! We are still growing and working towards our goals, but are so proud of what we have accomplished this year!
In our local chapter, each month the officer team selects a "Member of The Month", which is how we recognize our outstanding members in our chapter. We hope these awards encourage members to work harder and contribute to our chapter more often. Our officer team gets together and we come to a consensus about who we believe deserves to be the "Member of The Month." To be the "Member of the Month", members must show outstanding efforts in maintaining chapter goals, being responsible, and showing leadership.
Our September Member of The Month is our Chapter President, Annabel Zaruba. She is a sophomore student (class of 2024). Annabel was awarded Member of The Month because of her exceptional leadership and willingness to step up to help the junior high members. She learned a lot about FCCLA in a short amount of time to tend to her duties as our Chapter President.
Knox Nelson is our October Member of The Month. He is a seventh-grade student (class of 2027). Our officer team awarded Knox Member of The Month because he came in after school every day to help with our fabric pumpkin fundraiser. Knox's efforts did not go unnoticed and helped our chapter reach our fall fundraising goals.
Alyssa Lawrence is the November Member of The Month. She is an eighth-grade student (class of 2026). Alyssa was awarded Member of The Month because of her hard work with her STAR project. She came in during access every day to work on her STAR project, Repurpose and Redesign: Level 1. Alyssa is always willing to help our chapter in any way and consistently contributes to our chapter.
Azia Giron is the December Member of The Month. She is an eighth-grade student (class of 2026). Azia was awarded Member of The Month by our officer team because she came in during access every day to work on her STAR project, Instructional Video Design. Azia also stepped up to help bake cookies for our Christmas event and helped other members start their STAR projects.
For January we decided to have two members awarded Member of The Month. Lillie Shoemaker and Aracely Negrate were chosen for this award because of their hard work on their STAR project, Chapter in Review Display: Level 1. They are both eighth-grade students (class of 2026). Lillie and Aracely have been working consistently on their STAR project and documenting what our chapter has accomplished this school year!
Avery Ladwig is our Feburary Member of the Month. She is an eighth-grade student (class of 2026). Avery continues to work competitivly especially with fundraising and her STAR project with Azia. Avery comes into Ms. Hornickel's access everyday looking for something to help with. She spends her after-school time by praticipating in fundraisers that will help us go to the National Leadership Conference this summer.
Juls Gonzáles is our March Member of the Month. She is a sophomore student (class of 2024). Juls is our foreign exchange student from Spain and we are so glad that she decided to join our chapter. She has definitely made her time with our chapter memorable by participating in a STAR project, going to conferences, and fundraising for our chapter. We're going to miss Juls next year!
Hannah Klein is our April Member of the Month. She is a sophomre student (class of 2024). Hannah is constantly working hard to put herself out there in the FCCLA organization. This school year, Hannah has worked on her intense STAR project and she also got on to the State Peer Officer Team which she definitely deserves.
Kaci Bruha is our May Member of the Month. She is a sophomore student (class of 2024). Kaci is the one who makes our posters and anything that requires graphic design. She works hard by designing our Instagram and Facebook posts and with her STAR project with Annabel.
Our secratary, Hannah Klein, has made the Career State Peer Officer Team as the team's historian. Hannah has worked very hard for this postition. She balances a ton of activites, her many jobs, and taking care of her family. So far, Hannah has done an outstanding job with time management, organization, and communication. We know Hannah will go very far in her future endeavors and we're incredibly proud of her!
