An assignment during the first marking period that I can grow on was this one; The Quadratics Quiz. For this quiz, I was to find the x's for various quadratic equations. At the time of doing this quiz, Quadratics were extremely new to me and I was still mastering the skill. I did average on this quiz, but with a little more practice, I definitely could have gotten a better score.
An assignment that I glowed on during the first marking period was this one; The Polynomial Long Division worksheet. For this assignment, in simpler terms, I had to divide equations dealing with variables. This proved to be a difficult challenge, however, as I was doing it, I finally understood and was able to breeze through the worksheet and actually accurately check my previous answers. I am very proud of the work I did on this assignment.
An assignment during the second marking period that I can grow on was this one; the Unit one Test. For this test, our math instructor assigned a test to demonstrate what we had learned over the course of unit one. This mainly consisted of polynomial long division, which proved to be a challenge. I believe that if studied it a bit more, I could master the long division. I received an average grade, meaning I did alright.
An assignment during the second marking period that I glowed on was this one; the Desmos Marble slide challenge. This was a unique assignment our math instructor gave us. The goal was to create a path using equations which would go on a graph. Marbles with slide down these graphed equations and collect stars. We had to shape the graphed lines a certain way to collect certain stars, which definitely proved to be a challenge. However, the stress from the challenge was always instantly replaced by the satisfaction of finally finding the perfect combination of equations.
An assignment during the third marking period that I glowed on was this one; the logarithms test. This is self explanatory mostly, but the reason I chose this was because of the time frame in terms of when my classmates and I learned about logarithms and when this test was taken. Learning the rules of logarithms was very rushed and this test was also. Nonetheless, I was still able to receive an amazing score.
An assignment during the third marking period that I can grow on was this one; the Panel Question. At STEM, each grade level is divided into school subjects, who are then given a challenging question from that subject to show our brilliance. Afterwords, each of the challenging questions are still given out to the entire grade for a grade. They are called panel questions. The panel question for math proved to be a challenge for me. Learning how to solve the question previously was very rushed and this caused me to make a small mistake which costed me the right answer to the question. I have learned since then and I will not be making that mistake again.
An assignment during the fourth marking period that I glowed on was this one, the Unit Circle Revisit quiz. For this assignment, our instructor had us revisit the properties of the unit circle. This consisted of its angles which were paired up with radians, and the very specific length and height measurements of each angle. We had studied these type of things before and have moved on from it. Weeks later, after not working with the unit circle as much as before, we received a quiz to see if our memory and knowledge sustain. Personally, my memory did, and I was able to secure a perfect score.
An assignment during the fourth marking period that I can grow on was this one. The Trigonometry Graph Vocab. For this assignment our instructor had us do a very simple assignment where all my classmates and I had to do was to graph and define certain trigonometry terms (Sin, Cos, Tan). I am personally not sure what I did wrong for that assignment, but if I had to guess, I most likely failed to go into detail with my definitions and/or graph drawings, which costed a few points.
