Subtractive Drawing Skull Project         01-10-23

• This assignment was completed as a part of our unit about incorporating subtractive and additive methods into our drawings. To be able to complete this assignment we are tasked to use these methods to draw a skull using black and white charcoal. Through completing this assignment, I learned that shading as well as fully incorporating highlights using only charcoal and a eraser is hard. It involves a whole ton of work in using both methods since they need to be used together to complete the whole look.

Album Cover Project            2-6-23

• The objective of this assignment was to incorporate our own knowledge of album covers to make our own. Through our album covers we are supposed to incorporate a feeling that a specific song in the album may make you feel. We had various options like using digital drawings instead of actual drawings. I think that I could have more accurately represent the feeling or story that a song is really trying to ignite. Through this assignment I learned that I really need to take into account the elements of colors and shapes and seeing how the incorporation of those elements would  effect the setting it takes the cover in.
