Throughout that week, we discovered a method called a geometric series. A geometric series is the sum of an infinite number of terms. The method that we learned in class helps us find the sum of these terms quicker than just adding each one. With the equation that was given we would just need to make sure that we're inputting the values in the correct place. For instance each number goes with a specific variable in this formula. That would be why I may have gotten incorrect sum values. Throughout this whole worksheet, I was able to understand what there is still left for me to learn and what I already know.

After we had gone weeks learning about functions and there rules we were tasked to take a test of the lesson. The test involved writing equations for a function, drawing a graph based on the function, transformation rules, proving even, odd or neither, and finding all values for x and y based on a function. Implying the correct transformation can be difficult since each transformation has its own may of writing itself. So, when I was asked to draw the graph of a transformation based on a function, it was a bit difficult to take the function and transform before writing the graph. In addition, there was also trouble with proving even, odd, or neither functions, since we have to follow different formulas to figure which is which.

After having spent a week learning and understanding exponents, we were then given an assignment to showcase our understanding. With the properties of exponents, were to simply each problem, which should end up with only positive exponents. I learned that when 2 numbers with exponents are being multiplied, then only the two numbers would multiply and exponents would add together like seen in the first question. I also learned how when a number is raised to the zero power than that can simplify to 1. It would get a bit complicated when we have to raise the whole value to an exponent, even if it already has an exponent. This is because we would need to be careful when working with negative exponents. That is what troubled me the most, trying to understand what to do in cases which include negative exponents.

This test was based on our knowledge on logs and exponents. Most of the first questions related to using logs to help find the time it will take to get to a certain amount. As for question 3 and 4, which I got wrong, was based on our knowledge of exponents to either simply or find missing values. Particularly in question 4 where they ask to find the missing values, my work seemed to all be accurate but I missed up which value matches us with the answers I had gotten. I made many errors when it came to either expanding and condensing problems that use log. It was difficult for me to solve these problems because I did not fully understand what needed to be done when faced with logs and other numbers. Some parts seemed a bit easy to get through but then when faced with a difficult step I was unable to get through it.
