Description: The online Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree is designed for individuals who possess a baccalaureate degree from a four-year institution of higher education and who desire to attain an initial teaching license in a specific content area. The College of Education will recommend individuals who complete the degree program and licensure requirements successfully to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction for a teaching certification.
