Daniel O’Brien is the Science Specialist at Oak Park Independent School, where he teaches a wide range of high-school courses in science, mathematics, English, history, psychology, health, and the arts. An educator in the Conejo Valley since 1997, he previously served as Director of Instrumental Music at Oak Park High School and founded the instrumental music program at Walnut Canyon Elementary School. 

Daniel believes education should help students become curious, independent thinkers—not merely complete assignments. This site offers information about his courses, teaching philosophy, approach to independent study, professional work, and the thoughtful use of artificial intelligence in education.
