7/21/26 - 7/31/26: Public Comment Window Open

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities invites arts and humanities professionals, organizations, CAH grantees, and community members to review and provide feedback on its Draft 2026-30 Strategic Plan.

The draft plan outlines CAH's priorities and strategic direction for the next four years and reflects extensive community engagement conducted throughout the planning process.

Save the Date: Strategic Plan Public Review Period

CAH’s strategic planning process continues to move forward. In April, the Needs Assessment was completed. Findings are available on the website and were shared at the April Commission meeting.

This summer, CAH will begin designing the Strategic Plan. Save the date now to attend upcoming sessions to share your feedback on the draft Strategic Plan:

Can’t make it to a public session in June? You can still share your feedback through the comment period between July 21 – 31. More details to come in June.

CAH Community Survey Now Closed

Monday, March 16, 2026: The Commission has now closed both its full-length and 1-minute community surveys. The surveys were open between early February - mid-March, 2026. Thank you to all members of the CAH community who took either or both surveys.

All responses will be anonymously included in the first version of the Strategic Plan open to public comment in July 2026.

CAH Launches 1-minute Survey; Extends Community Survey Deadline

March 5, 2026: The Commission, in order to hear from as many community members and stakeholders as possible, has launched a 1-minute survey as part of its strategic planning process. It has also extended the deadline for the longer Community Survey from March 8 to March 16.

CAH Community Survey Opens

The Commission implemented a community survey in early February, inviting arts professionals, grantees, applicants, partners, CAH Commissioners and staff, and the general public to share their perspective on D.C.'s arts & humanities needs, challenges, and opportunities as part of the strategic planning process. This survey will remain open until March 8, 2026.

La Comisión invita a profesionales de las artes, beneficiarios de subvenciones, solicitantes, socios, comisionados y personal de la CAH, y al público en general a compartir su perspectiva sobre las necesidades, los desafíos y las oportunidades en el ámbito de las artes y las humanidades en Washington D.C. Esta encuesta es completamente anónima, se completa en menos de 15 minutos y estará disponible hasta el 8 de marzo de 2026.
