Salute to Blue was a driving vigil of more than 300 law enforcement vehicles that lit up Overland Park blue in honor of the sacrifice of Overland Park Police Officer Mike Mosher and other officers who have fallen in the line of duty. This vigil marked the beginning of National Police Week in Overland Park.
See the Salute to Blue Vigil page for additional details.
This "Drive by Visitation" will allow family, friends, and the public to pay respects to Officer Mosher, his family and friends at the Overland Park Convention Center, from their vehicles. The public portion of this event will be open from 4-6 p.m.
See the Visitation page for additional details.
A private funeral for Officer Mike Mosher will take place at the Overland Park Convention Center. Following the funeral, a public funeral procession for Officer Mosher will include an honor guard, bagpipers, a walking procession, and other traditional law enforcement honors. The graveside service will be private and open only to family and friends. It will include a 21-gun salute, helicopter flyover & flag presentation.
(It is our hope to establish a media pool for the funeral & graveside services and that through media live coverage we can share the event with the public.)
See the Funeral page for additional details.
