On The INLETS: about INtel & Law Enforcement Training Services
Your INLETS planning team comes from the FBI, the Maryland Coordination & Analysis Center (MCAC - the state fusion center), the Maryland Natural Resource Police, and private sector professionals.
This course is for you. INLETS online and in-person attendees have requested more and more topics on the themes of social media and tech tools. And we hope this meets those expectations.
In 2011, the FBI was scheduled to host the first-ever FBI profiler-led seminar in the Mid-Atlantic region. Just weeks before it was to begin, the federal government rescinded budgets and the seminar was going to be cancelled. InfraGard Maryland, a non-profit organization, and MCAC recognized the benefit for local law enforcement to have the conference and both stepped in to ensure the funding would be covered.
After hearing the survey feedback from attendees, the Mid-Atlantic INtel & Law Enforcement Training Seminar was created. Both InfraGard Maryland and InfraGard National Capital Region Members Alliance (InfraGardNCR) served as fiduciaries. A few years later, those key leaders saw INLETS develop into its own, stand-alone, non-profit organization, whose purpose is to provide the most relevant training by the most qualified presenters, at the most affordable cost.
In the past 12 years, over 9,000 attendees representing 1,000 agencies, 45 fusion centers, and 15 different InfraGard chapters across 45 states, five US time zones and seven countries have participated in either five-, three-, one-day seminars, or INLETS Online - the webinar and livestream series - both launched during 2020’s Covid pandemic. We have provided these programs in seven states and three timezones, and cities including Moorestown, NJ, Washington, DC, Quantico, VA, New Orleans, LA, and Honolulu, HI.
Thank you for joining us, today and over the last ten years.
