To the right is an early version of an interactive tool I developed for a Photo Theory I course I taught. I used the framework of it for the Zone System calculator and it is here as a placeholder to see how other items interact with something that was created by Adobe XD. Some versions were causing glitches with Google Sites.
Initially, all modules were created as individual interactive books in H5P. Interactive books embed well in the Brightspace LMS, keep all the content organized in one place, but were glitching in Google Sites.
It keeps the user in one place with a consistent structure.
Keeps the modules as one unit so that they can be easily transferred between Google Sites and Brightspace (or any LMS).
The interface colour is customizable so that the brand colour can be used. This flexibility is missing when features are created outside of the interactive book.
iframe sizing is glitchy if more than one asset is added or if the interactive book page is long, or if pages vary in size.
The embedded asset 'jumps' to the top of the page when the user navigates through causing the navigation buttons to appear hidden.
The structure is too rigid. Limited freedom with how information is organized. Image resizing is fixed, and resolution issues occur when the H5P interface resizes images.
Navigation is not intuitive, sometimes, it moves down, and sometimes it's sideways, requiring additional resources to communicate how to navigate through the book.
