The Winter term of this course differs significantly from the Fall term. While the Fall term focused on preparing for research, the Winter term emphasizes executing and reporting on it. This mirrors the authentic research process, where researchers dedicate substantial time to writing grant proposals and meticulously organizing their research.
During the Winter term, students will execute the research proposal and undertake three additional graded professional activities:
writing an abstract,
developing a poster, and
creating a research product.
Along with the research proposal from the Fall term and assessment of competencies, the assessments of these activities will determine the final grade for the course.
