Learning Goal: Identifying how humans negatively impact plants and their habitats
Human activities can harm plants and their habitats!
Let's look at a few examples!
Deforestation
Cutting down trees leads to fewer plants and can cause soil to wash away making it harder to grow new plants.
Polluted Air
Pollution makes it hard for plants to breathe causing their leaves to turn yellow or brown.
Pesticides
The use of pesticides can harm and poison plants that are not pests.
Urbanization
Replacing natural areas with buildings and roads makes plants lose their natural homes. It makes it more difficult for plants to grow and reproduce.
We will review what we have learned about the negative impacts of human activities on plants and their habitats through a fun and engaging Kahoot quiz. This quiz will help you review key concepts and ensure you understand how our actions affect the environment.
