Learning Goal: Identifying actions on how humans positively impact plants and their habitats
Humans can do many things to help plants and where they live!
Let's look at a few examples!
We can plant trees!
We can stop littering to keep plants habitats clean!
We can water plants to help them grow big and strong!
We can recycle paper and cardboard to prevent trees from being cut down!
We can compost to help make the soil rich for plants!
We can support community and school gardens!
We can learn about plants to help take care of them!
We can use natural pest control methods instead of harmful chemicals!
To do:
Now you will use Popplet to create a mind map on how you will protect plants and their habitats.
1) You will first add your central idea in the middle, such as "Protecting Plants and Their Habitats"
2) You will then add branches for each idea on how to protect plants and their habitats
3) Once you are done you will share your finished mind map with me via email (navdeep.toor@ontariotechu.net) and move on to Module 3
*Note: Here is a short tutorial video of how to make a mind map using Popplet
