At the conclusion of the course, you should be able to demonstrate:
• The ability to make and defend ethical value-judgments about communication and digital media with regard to a good and just society;
• The ability to self-reflexively make and defend ethical value-judgements about professional communication organizations, roles, processes, practices, and products to which they encounter or contribute;
• The ability to think critically about media organizations, they roles they play, the goals they pursue, the messages and images that they circulate, and the impacts and effects that they have;
• Knowledge of the past, present, and emerging problems and challenges pertaining to organizations, policies, practices, products, uses, and effects of communication and digital media in society;
• The ability to write to a grammatical standard and style demanded by the university and other professionally-relevant writing contexts in order to inform, report, and debate;
• The ability to critically analyze, evaluate, and interpret the workings of communication organizations, the power of communication, the messages and images of various media forms, and their effects; and

• The ability to clearly, confidently, and effectively communicate ideas to invite discussion and information amongst your peers; and.
• The acquisition of TWO micro-credentials in the form of digital badges: Ethical-Decision making and Focus on Solutions. Students will be able to list these micro-credentials on their resumes and reference them in any/all job applications going forward.
