Overview
This module is all about taking action in authentically informed ways, so you can keep learning and effect change for and with Autistic students, colleagues and community members.
In this module, there are 3 options to explore and you may access these at any time during the modules and extend your learning with the evolving community of practice:
1) What Would you Do?
Access scenarios and contribute to reflective meaningful co-construction in the Autistic Acceptance Community of Practice Action Board
2) Finding Community
explore more diverse perspectives of Autistics to build your confidence and schema
interact with Autistics and other educators as a co-learner in virtual spaces
contribute ideas, questions, wonderings, reflections and resources to developing virtual spaces which are designed to foster and build communities of Neuroaffirmative practice
3) Digging Deeper and Cross Pollinating
reflect on your learnings by identifying your biggest mindshifts, key takeaways and most meaningful moments/resources
narrow your focus to one or two areas of interest/urgency which you want to pursue related to building Autistic allyship in your school or other workplace
plan out how you will increase your allyship to impact your sphere of influence
commit to continued creation, connection and collaboration
Rationale:
Becoming an ally means being reflective and responsive, accepting feedback with humility, and taking action. Allyship will look different for everyone but the commitment to taking action is essential. Without action, there is no allyship.

To expand your learning beyond the work you have already done, you are encouraged to immerse yourself in actual interactions with the Autistic community using a variety of online platforms. At first you may just want to observe, listen, read interactions in Autistic and mixed Neurotype spaces, but an important part of this journey as an ally is becoming a co-learner, working in community from and alongside Autistic researchers, advocates, writers, educators and more.
