Graduation Requirements

Students who successfully complete the required coursework and accrue the necessary seat hours will be awarded credits toward graduation.

To earn a diploma from Guy Kokesh ALC, Onamia Public Schools, you must earn the 24 credits listed below.

*Students who have earned the required amount of credits by the Friday before Graduation, IF expected to finish in summer school, may participate in the Graduation Ceremony at OHS.

Students are considered "on track" to graduate when they have the following

credit totals at the end of the year:

9th grade: 6 credits

10th grade: 12 credits:

11th grade: 18 credits

12th grade: 24 credits.

- English 9 1 credit
- English 10 1 credit
- English 11 1 credit
- English 12 1 credit

Social Studies

- Geography 9 1 credit
- World History 1/2 credit
- American Government 1/2 credit
- American Studies 1 credit
- Senior Econ 1 credit

Math

- Algebra I 1 credit
- Geometry 1 credit
- Algebra II 1 credit

Science

- Physical Science 9 1 credit
- Biology 10 1 credit
- Chemistry 1 credit

Physical Education and Health

- Phy. Ed 9 1 /2 credit
- Phy. Ed 10 1 /2 credit
- Health 1/2 credit

Computer

- Computer Tech 1/2 credit

Art

- Art Elective 1 credit

Electives

- Students must earn an additional 7 credits as electives
