Data Viz: Module 3

Welcome to Omni’s Data Visualization Course. These Learning Communities are designed to be practical, relevant spaces where grantees across funding areas can build shared skills, exchange ideas, and strengthen capacity over time.

This session is part of our ongoing Learning Community focused on strengthening how data is shared and interpreted across BH/MH and Housing programs. Module 3 centers on equity in data visualization—specifically how visual, language, and framing choices can shape narratives about communities. Building on accessibility, this module examines how data can unintentionally reinforce stereotypes, deficit perspectives, or invisibility when it lacks context or care. The goal of this Learning Community session is not to limit data sharing, but to support thoughtful, responsible practices that increase understanding and reduce harm.
