Heartland Community College is hosting this year’s Greater McLean County College Fair on Tuesday, October 7th, from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Fitness and Recreation Center (FRC); #12 on the campus map (parking in lots P and O).
This annual regional program is a collaboration with the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling, Heartland Community College, Illinois State University, and Illinois Wesleyan University. This is a StriveScan event, so students can register before the fair and receive a barcode to share with college representatives. This allows for more meaningful conversations between students and college representatives (and saves students from filling out information cards at each table they visit)
Whether you're in the initial stages of college exploration or know you won't have a chance to visit a college campus, attending a college fair to make a face-to-face connection with college counselors is an important step. College fairs bring representatives from all over the country. It's a great way to make a connection with colleges and get a lot of information in just a few hours.
