Class Information
Course Objective:
Algebra I is designed to give students a foundation for all future mathematics courses. The fundamentals of algebraic problem-solving are explained. Students will explore: foundations of Algebra, solving equations, solving inequalities, and introduction to functions, linear functions, systems of equations and inequalities, exponents and exponential functions, polynomials and factoring, quadratic functions and equations, radical expressions and equations and data analysis and probability.

Assessments: Tests/Quizzes/Projects
Homework: Homework, In-class work, Notes, Projects - some HW will be completion points and some will be graded.
Late work will be accepted at half credit and no late work will be accepted after we have tested a concept.
Students have the opportunity to make corrections for full points, for graded assignments. Corrections are due within a week of the assignment's inital due date.

Take responsibility for your actions.
Arrive to class on time and ready to start.
Turn in completed homework. Incomplete work will result in student losing points and not being able to gain it back through corrections.
When you are absent, it is your responsibility to find the assignment/notes and get it turned in. Make sure to check Google Classroom for notes/assignments.
Make arrangements to take quizzes/tests immediately. You may come in at 7:15 in the morning to make up quizzes and tests. It is your responsibility to make these arrangements; I will not and cannot track you down.
I am available every morning before school between 7:15-7:45 for extra support. If a student chooses to come in during the morning time, please contact me beforehand.

Expandable or a folder that will be used to hold notes/assignments for math only

Checking pen and a highlighter
