We must have emergency information on all students involved in our programs or events held on our premises for emergency and liability purposes. Learners who wish to bring a guest must have prior approval at least one week in advance by the faith formation staff and classroom catechist before they may be dropped off or allowed in classroom. Proper information must be one hand in case of emergency and to ensure a manageable class size for our volunteer catechists. Learner visitors (guests) not formally enrolled will not be allowed to attend class without prior approval and without names and address of parents on record. Guests who attend more than three times will be asked to enroll in the CFF program, if space is available. Appropriate fees will be determined at time of registration. Learners are welcome to invite visitors to any planned youth ministry event outside formal religious education classes. These events are advertised in advance and give ample opportunity to obtain paperwork for all youth who wish to participate. Non-Catholic visitors who are interested in attending formal religious education classes are invited to inquire about the Rite of Christian Initiation Classes for children and youth.
We are committed to provide a Faith Formation program environment that is free of discrimination. In keeping with this commitment, our parish will not tolerate harassment of employees, volunteers, or students occurring in the Faith Formation Program sponsored events. Such conduct is immoral and illegal and will not be tolerated.
Harassment consists of unwelcome conduct, whether verbal, physical, and or visual, that is based on a person’s protected status, such as sex, color, race, ancestry, national origin, age, physical disability, mental condition, marital status, veteran status, citizenship status, or other protected group status.
The Faith Formation program will not tolerate harassing conduct that creates an intimidating, offensive or hostile environment. Transgression of this rule may result in dismissal fromFaith Formation Program. If any employee or volunteer or student feels that he/she has experienced or witnessed harassment, that person must immediately notify the Parish Catechetical Leader. The diocese forbids retaliation against anyone who reported harassment.
