Sports Day
Sports day for children in years 1 to 6 took place today in the Athletic track in Newbridge Fields and was a great success. We were extremely lucky to have an Olympic cyclist, Dani Rowe, support our event. Children loved seeing her gold Olympic medal and it was really lovely to hear the children congratulating Dani on her achievement - hopefully she has inspired some children.
The school are very grateful to the PTA for supporting the event with their refreshments stall - we hope you enjoyed the sweet treats they had on offer. We would also like to thank the Spar on Ewenny Road who donated water and fruit for the children today. Asda also provided our children with bottles of water too.
It has been wonderful to see children joining in and getting behind their house colour. The tug of war is always a hard fought contest and the whole school warm up led by Mrs Evans, Mrs Brotherton and Dani Rowe certainly got everyone moving!
Well done to everyone for taking part.
