The Taft Middle School project aims to revitalize and expand the facility while honoring its historical significance. The plan involves restoring the existing historical entrance facing May Avenue and the central portion of the school, while also expanding both the north and south wings. 

A new structure will be constructed, which will include a south wing for classrooms, as well as cafeteria and kitchen facilities. The design will feature a centralized administration suite, an enhanced media center, and additional classrooms on the upper floors. The north wing will be dedicated to athletics and will be equipped with state-of-the-art furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Furthermore, the project will introduce new outdoor sports facilities, a bus loop, and safe pathways for pedestrians, enhancing the overall campus experience. The goal of this project is to create a meaningful school environment that promotes advanced learning and athletic excellence for students, staff, and the community.
