The Taft Middle School project focuses on revitalizing and expanding the facility while respecting its historical significance. The plan includes restoring the historical entrance and central portion of the school, expanding the north and south wings, and constructing a new south wing for classrooms and cafeteria facilities. The design will feature a centralized administration suite, an enhanced media center, and additional classrooms on upper floors, while the north wing will be dedicated to athletics with modern furnishings. New outdoor sports facilities, a bus loop, and safe pedestrian pathways will be added to improve the campus experience. The goal is to create a supportive environment for advanced learning and athletic excellence for students and the community.
