ResoNative Dance Troupe

The ResoNative Youth Dance Troupe actively engages in exhibiting their cultural prowess through dance. The Dance Troupe is not only an education tool, but also helps our students with specific skills such as networking, public speaking, and becoming an advocate for themselves.  The troupe consistently embodies excellence while representing themselves, their families, OKCPS and the Native American Student Services department.

About the Resonative Youth Dance Troupe

The Resonative Youth Dance Troupe is made up of students from PreK to 12th grade. The Dance Troupe performs Native American dances throughout the academic year at various locations.  Performances can range from educating OKCPS schools and classrooms on Native American culture and dances to performing at larger community events throughout Oklahoma City.  Students involved in our dance troupe gain confidence and pride in their Native American culture.  The students are encouraged to introduce themselves and in return, they are gaining public speaking skills at a young age. They are encouraged to talk about their regalia because there is history with each outfit not like any other.  The students demonstrate their particular style of dance. These students are held to the highest of standards while representing the Native American Student Services Department, Oklahoma City Public Schools, their tribes, and their families.  Each student along with their families is committed to this program.
