Native American Student Art Show

The Native American Student Services Student Art Show is a special annual showcase that highlights the creative talents and cultural expressions of Native American students, fostering a sense of pride and unity within the community while celebrating the beauty and diversity of indigenous artistry.  This event happens once a year in the Spring and takes place in partnership with Penn Square Mall.

Who can enter the Art Show?

The OKCPS Native American Student Art Show is open to any OKCPS Native American student PK - 12th grade.  Any Native student enrolled in OKCPS can enter.  

How can I enter my art piece?

You can give your art piece to your school's Native American Advisor or Art Teacher.   OR you can contact Native American Student Services and we can pick it up at your school or you can deliver it to our office.  

What kind of art can I enter?

NASS accepts all types of media of art.  Some examples are: drawings, paintings, mixed media, sculptures, beading, basketry, sewing, photography, etc.  We encourage a Native American-inspired piece but it is not a requirement.  

Are there prizes?

Yes!  All entries are judged by a panel of judges.  Ribbons are given to students in each category by grade.  Best in Show winners are selected in the Elementary, Middle School and High School levels.
