The IB Diploma is an internationally recognized credential, which students who successfully complete the Diploma Programme will receive in addition to their Florida High School diploma. Students take exams toward the diploma in their Junior and Senior years, and the diploma is awarded in July, after students have graduated from high school.
Students who receive the diploma are automatically given the highest level of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship.
How do you get the IB Diploma?
Students must take six IB tests, one from each subject area, to include an IB elective. Students will complete both internal and external assessments in all courses as part of their official exams. Additionally, students must complete CAS, the EE, and TOK requirements.
Students must take three standard- and three higher- level tests.
Standard level denotes 150 teaching hours
Higher level requires 240 teaching hours

How do students get the IB Diploma?
Students must get no fewer than 24 points from the exams they take in their studied subjects. (Each subject is graded on a scale of 1-7, with 7 being the highest grade.)
Students must complete all Creativity, Action, and Service (CAS) requirements.
Students must complete the Extended Essay (EE) with a grade of A, B, C, or D.*
Students must complete Theory of Knowledge (TOK) with a grade of A, B, C, or D.*
*The TOK and EE are, combined, worth a possible additional 3 points depending on grades received.

What can disqualify a student from receiving the Diploma?
Failing to complete CAS.
Receiving a grade of E or N on the EE, TOK, and/or a subject.
Receiving fewer than 12 HL points.
Receiving fewer than 9 SL points.
Receiving a grade of 1 in any one subject.
Receiving more than two grades of 2.
Receiving more than three grades of 3 or below.
What is the highest grade a student can receive on the IB Diploma?
45 (6 subjects with 7 points each + 3 bonus points from the EE & TOK)
What is the lowest grade a student can receive on the IB Diploma?
24, barring any disqualifying criteria.
