The IB Programme
IB students receive a unique, challenging, and diverse curriculum.
IB learners are encouraged to think critically and solve problems; to drive their own learning; are culturally aware through the development of a second language; are able to engage with people in an increasingly globalized, rapidly changing world.
The IB Learner Profile aims to develop learners who are inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk takers, balanced, and reflexive.
At Choctawhatchee High School, students in the 9th and 10th grades will participate in the Florida Pre-IB Programme. Students in the 11th and 12th grades will participate in the Diploma Programme. All of these students will take a mix of FL Pre-IB, IB, and AP Classes. Students in the Diploma Programme will complete CAS (Creativity, Activity, and Service), TOK (Theory of Knowledge), and the EE (Extended Essay), and will take IB exams.
