Three guidance counselors and one student assistance counselor are available during the school day to provide assistance for students, parents, and teachers. The guidance curriculum at the middle-level emphasizes striving for academic success, developing self esteem, learning how to make appropriate decisions, adjusting to the Middle School environment, and career exploration. Guidance counselors frequently consult with administrators, teachers, nurse, parents, and community resource people. All students are able to request to speak with a School Counselor or SAP Counselor by completing a google form. Counselors will review requests throughout the day and meet with students in a timely manner. For emergency situations, students should indicate to their classroom teacher that they need immediate assistance. Teachers will coordinate directly with the Guidance office to connect the student with a counselor.
