Owen J. Roberts School District uses technology to support instruction, communication, creativity, and access to learning resources. Students are expected to use district devices, accounts, internet access, and digital tools responsibly and appropriately. The use of technology is a privilege, and misuse may result in school consequences or limits on access.
Review the district technology expectations and acceptable use guidelines with your child.
Complete any required online consent forms or annual technology agreements.
Help your child bring their district device to school charged and ready for learning, when applicable.
Report device problems, damage, loss, or repair needs through the district’s approved process.
Contact the school or Technology Department if your child needs help with login access, internet access, device repair, or approved digital learning tools.
District technology resources, including computers, networks, internet access, student accounts, devices, and digital tools, are provided for educational purposes. Students are expected to use technology in a safe, responsible, respectful, and school-appropriate manner.
Students may not use district technology resources to access, create, send, or share inappropriate, harmful, disruptive, or unauthorized content. Students are also expected to protect login information, respect others' privacy and work, follow copyright and academic integrity expectations, and use devices and online tools only as directed by school staff.
The district may monitor use of district technology resources in accordance with district policy. Misuse of technology may result in disciplinary action, loss of technology privileges, repair or replacement responsibilities, or other school consequences.
