Students are expected to attend school daily. It is vital that children are in school and on time so the school can provide consistent instruction and support. Absences may be excused for reasons permitted by district policy and Pennsylvania school attendance law.
Absences are considered unlawful/unexcused until the district receives an acceptable excuse explaining the absence. Excuses must be received within the timeline established by district policy. After a student reaches the maximum number of parent-excused absences permitted by policy, additional absences may require documentation from a licensed physician.
For the complete official language, please refer to District Policy 204: Attendance and the official elementary student/parent handbook section on attendance.
