Information concerning chemical hazards that you may work with are outlined on Safety Data Sheets (SDS). All employees have access to this information through the employee portal. Students can be show the SDSs if necessary.
All chemicals must be labeled according to the Hazard Communication and Chemical Hygiene Policy located in the EHS Manual. If you transfer a chemical from a primary container to the secondary containers, the secondary container must be labeled the same as the primary container. If additional information is needed on how to properly label a chemical, access the chemical SDS located in the employee portal.
