Summary
Quicktime is Apple's Mac OS software for movie/video recording, audio recording and screen recording. It also handles playback and editing of those recordings. It is "quick" and easy to use for many basic audio/video tasks.
Quicktime on your laptop/desktop allows you to:
Create quick and easy movie recordings using your laptop's built-in camera or attached external camera.
Create quick and easy audio recordings using your laptop's built-in microphone or attached external mic.
Create quick and easy screen recordings of your laptop screen.
Combine and edit existing video files by trimming, splitting and appending video clips
Save and share video in different formats and file sizes or save only the audio from a clip.
