To improve the academic experience of African American, LatinX, and multilingual students, our multifaceted prototype helps center learning and relationships by providing faculty with ongoing professional learning opportunities in the form of (1) a Faculty XL Certificate program, (2) a maintained learning community, and (3) a XL website that would serve as a hub for all things experiential. The FEXL Certificate Program brings faculty across disciplines together to enhance their courses with meaning learning experiences.
The FEXL Learning Communities provide faculty with multiple spaces and ways to interact, collaborate, share ideas, and work together to center the human experience of learning for our students.
The professional learning hub would be a centralized hub for all thing experiential learning. From this hub, faculty would be able find out important info, work through self-guided professional learning modules, and find out how to be part of our FEXL Learning Community.
