"Changing the campuses by incorporating the shadowing experiences all over the world, so that we all can learn from each other and be more beneficial from this in all of our future careers."
Our solution is simple! We want students, faculty, and administrators to understand each other's experiences and learn from each other so that we all may have a better understanding of what it is like to be in the other person's shoes.
Our solution provides and gives stakeholders a better understanding of our program and what we are trying to exemplify and implement on the Old Dominion University's campus. Our solution is just the icing on the top of the cake. It is yet to be implemented on campus in the future!
What stakeholders can do as a result of our solution is to support us! Help us implement this program on campus! We feel that this is one of the programs that would change the whole perspective on the ODU campus and make more students, faculty, and administrators want to participate in this!
The outcome of this would make everyone more effective overall because it will gives all three sides (faculty, administrators, and students) an opportunity to see what a day in the life of the other person is. If everyone was to shadow one another in a different area then they would see what each person experiences. Additionally, another benefit would be individuals would be able to see what that person goes through on a daily basis, but it would even help that person that chooses to shadow someone else in their future endeavors as well. So far, we have tested this with stakeholders by sharing our program, and proposing the entire idea of exactly what we are trying to pursue. In return, we have received helpful, truthful feedback that can help us improve our ideas and help us implement our program on campus hopefully soon!
One thing that we would say is very unique about our program is that it one that we thought outside of the box! Not too many people question what it is like to be the other person, or just to see what other people go through or experience on a daily basis. If we were actually curious as to what one another go through, why not shadow them? Why not want to know what it is like to be them? Why not want to take a walk in their shoes before we instantly jump to conclusions about that person? This is exactly what made us so interested in developing this particular program! If this is an interest to most individuals, then people would want to shadow others, this would automatically create long lasting partnerships, friendships, and even relationships among each other. This would develop due to the shadowing experience of faculty, administrators, and students.
By learning from one another this would help each other learn from the experiences of others. Learning how they can improve their lifestyle based on someone's else experiences, or how they can even find a way to relate to that particular person. Because of this, it leads to what's innovative about our solution. What's innovative about our solution is that it is well thought out, and can simply change the entire atmosphere of what a campus is. This would be something that would honestly not only change the campus of ODU, but other universities and colleges as well all around the world. However, ODU would definitely be the first school to be put on the map because of this great idea!
